Intercide ZNP is suitable for the wet-state and dry film fungal preservation of a wide range of water-borne products including:

• Paints and coatings

• Adhesives

• Sealants

• Fillers

• Inks

• Wall paper adhesives

• Building products including joint cements, tile adhesive and grout.

Also used in plastics and similar polymeric materials for protection against fungal growth and bacteriostatic effect. Due to the content of zinc there should be consideration when used in PVC applications to look at the additional effect of

the metal on Calcium/zinc or Barium/zinc stabilised products such as the Lankromark LMC range from Valtris Specialty.

When used in solvent borne formulations care must be taken to consider possible reaction between paint driers and the zinc complex. In such cases strong discolouration can occur.
